Windows 11's New User Journey: A Roadmap to Success"

Microsoft is currently in the process of experimenting with innovative approaches to enhance the onboard experience for new Windows 11 users, particularly during the crucial "Out of Box Experience" (OOBE) phase.

This novel OOBE iteration is currently undergoing testing within the Canary Channel, where a select group of Insiders is getting a sneak peek at these changes aimed at providing a more seamless transition into the Windows 11 operating system.

Upon the initial setup of Windows 11, users will soon encounter a welcoming page titled "Let's Customize Your Experience" as part of the OOBE. 

This page introduces a crucial element of personalisation   the selection of one's 'intent' for using the device.

The chosen 'intent,' such as 'Development Intent,' will have a direct impact on the user's initial desktop experience. 

Opting for 'Development Intent,' for instance, will initiate an introduction to the Dev Home, an ecosystem tailored to empower developers with a suite of essential tools and resources.

Conversely, for those users with a broader curiosity about Windows 11, the 'Get Started' app will spring into action automatically. 

This application functions as a friendly digital guide, leading users through the exciting array of new features within Windows 11, including an introduction to Dev Home for those inclined towards 'Development Intent.'

Should a user select the 'Restore' option during OOBE, the 'Get Started' app will take the stage following the second login.

 It serves as a personalized journey, offering explanations about essential apps and settings while also informing users that their device has been successfully restored.

 Moreover, it offers guidance on how to access restored apps conveniently via the Start menu or taskbar.

The overarching goal of these enhancements is to provide a more tailored and instructive experience to users embarking on their Windows 11 journey.

Microsoft envisions that these experiences will not only assist newcomers in completing their device setup but also help them become well-acquainted with the full spectrum of capabilities that Windows 11 has to offer.

It's worth noting that these exciting developments are currently in the testing phase, available to a select group of users.

Microsoft intends to fine-tune these features based on invaluable feedback before a broader release, ensuring an even more polished and user-friendly Windows 11 experience for all.
